For Our Storytellers

GHOST STORY-TELLING WORKSHOP

We had a very good turnout and an even better time at our workshop, and we're welcoming two of our "graduates" to tell stories with us at Ghost Stories in the Park in the Dark!! Congratulations Rachna Prasad, Marc Yap and Claire Dee!

It was so successful, look for it again in 2018!

Do you want to learn how to tell a scary ghost story? How about a funny one ot thrill the young ones? Summer Place Theatre is well known for our annual Ghost Stories in the Park ... In the Dark, held during the first weekend in October. Your ghost-host Don Gingold will lead a workhop in storytelling in a 2-hour class

SATURDAY, AUGUST 19, 2:00-4:00 pm
RUBIN CENTER ROOM 206

Proper story presentation, speaking, breathing, gesturing and microphone techniques will be taught, and everyone will practice telling a story. Those who "graduate" our workshop will be considered to tell stories during our October event.

No preparation is needed to attend the workshop, but you are encouraged to bring a prepared Halloween story or monologue no more than 2 minutes long that can be used to workshop.

Chills, Thrills, and Hopefully No Spills!

After we have our Chills and Thrills - our fun, scary stories - everybody is invited to have a cup of hot apple cider, a cup of ectoplasm punch (orange drink), and some cookies.

The treats are brought to us, thanks to our friends at the Meijer store on Route 59 and Jefferson.
