Teenaged Ren McCormack leaves his life in Chicago to settle in a rural town with his mom. But the new town has a strict ban on Ren’s favorite pasttime: dancing. Ren struggles against the conservative attitude of Reverend Moore, whose distrust of rock music has stifled the ability of Ren's new classmates to express themselves. Aided by the reverend's daughter Ariel and Ren's new best friend Willard, Ren learns why the town doesn't dance, and how to start changing that. You'll hear some familiar tunes in this 80s rock musical, like "Let's Hear it for the Boy," "Holding Out for a Hero," "Almost Paradise," and, of course, "Footloose."
