Sponsorship Opportunity: Is This Thing On??

Just when we were getting compliments on our sound system, the FCC has reassigned the frequency range of our wireless mics, making them illegal to use, which means we need new ones. There's nothing we can do about it and it's an expensive setback.

New rules now in effect for operating wireless microphones and similar devices will restrict their use in certain bands of the spectrum currently used for television broadcast. As a result, some equipment changes may be needed for local theaters, churches, schools, conference centers, sports stadiums and other users of such devices.

Luckily our crack sound guy and frugal treasurer Jeff found a deal on mics which brings our cost down. Still, it's going to run a couple thousand dollars, a pretty big chunk of our operating budget. We are hoping there is a family or business in our audience who would like to sponsor these new mics. Like somebody who enjoys hearing the dialogue! We'd be happy to name it the Sam and Sally Smith Sound System!
