Delightful "50 Years of Musicals" Is Now Just a Memory...
...Or Is It?
The cast and crew of "50 Years of Musicals from the Summer Place Theatre" pulled out all the stops to provide a delightful romp down Memory Lane over the weekend of July 8, 9 and 10. Audiences loved it and many of us are still humming some of the songs we heard. But one of live theatre's charms is it's ephemeral quality and once the show's over, it's just over.
But you're in luck as we are thrilled to offer you the next best thing!
NCTV17, Naperville's community television station, recorded the opening night performance of "50 Years" to preserve this contribution to the city's history. While there's no subsitute for experiencing theatre live and in person, this recording lets us relive the evening and share it with Summer Place Theatre alumni and supporters who were not able to make it to the show.
"50 Years of Musicals from the Summer Place Theatre" will be broadcast on Friday, July 15, at 7:00 pm. If you live locally and have cable, you can watch on your television by tuning in to Channel 17 on Comcast or WOW!, or Channel 99 on AT&T. If you are not local but have access to a computer and wifi, you can watch the show straight from NCTV17's LiveStream on their website.
We are so grateful to NCTV17 for archiving this historical moment for us and for the community. And we're also so pleased to be able to share the moment with the many volunteers, actors and supporters were not able to attend last weekend. The past 50 years of success is due to all of you and we love being able to share this event with you!
