LAURIE KAUZLARIC:
I have always enjoyed singing and really liked being able to bring that aspect to the stage.

LK:
Les Misérables.  I was always fascinated by the story of a hardened criminal who transformed into a virtuous, selfless man.

LK:
A townsperson in Brigadoon.

Q: What is the dream role you still want to play?
LK:
Lucille Debray in The Count of Monte Cristo

LK:
I think trying to truly place myself in that time period/season in order to understand the day-to-day dilemmas, like waiting for the hot water to be delivered for a shower.

Q:Do you have any performance superstitions?
LK:
Not really, but I like to keep my eye on any issues with a final run-through, costumes, and/or makeup.

Q: If someone was going to make your life into a movie, who would you want to play you?
LK:
Claire Danes.

Q: What do you do when you’re not doing theater?
LK:
I work as a speech language pathologist, but also enjoy singing in a chorus, traveling, bike riding, reading, and swimming.

Q: Which character from South Pacific would you most like to have dinner with and why?
LK:
Emile.  He had to make some difficult decisions in his life that involved a lot of sacrifice.

Q: Why should people come see this production of South Pacific?

It is a fun and lively performance infused with light-hearted humor, romance and a commitment to truly entertain the audience.
