DAWN ARNOLD (Defenseless Creature and Madame Brassilov) has appeared at The Summer Place in “The Most Happy Fella.” Dawn holds a fine arts degree from Butler University in Indianapolis and is a regular at the Riverfront Playhouse in Aurora. She lives in Downers Grove where she teaches violin.

 

CHRIS BRUZZINI (The Narrator) was last seen as Hysterium in Wheaton Drama’s production of “Forum.” He has performed throughout the Chicago area in “Heartbreak House,” “Promises, Promises,” “Same Time, Next Year,” “Jesus Christ, Superstar,” “California Suite,” “Man of La Mancha,” and “Fiddler on the Roof.” Last season he played the title role in “Dracula” at The Summer Place.

 

LISA DIXON (Julia, Prostitute) has appeared at The Summer Place in “Dracula,” and “The Boyfriend.” She also has credits in “Fiddler on the Roof,” “Barefoot in the Park,” “Guys and Dolls,” and “You Can’t Take it With You.”

 

ED GEDEON (The Husband) is making his debut at The Summer Place. His previous roles were Vinnie in the “Odd Couple” with the Performing Arts Theatre Co. in Downers Grove, Arturo, in “Luxury Cruise” with the Four Lakes Area Players in Lisle, and as Philip in “The Lion in Winter” with the Classic Theater Ensemble in Downers Grove. Ed is currently president of F.L.A.P. He is also an avid “Dungeons and Dragons” player.

 

WENDY GOLTER (Sonya Cherdyakov) is debuting at The Summer Place. She is a speech communications graduate of Wheaton College and is a recording engineer for Domain Communications in Carol Stream. Wendy has appeared with the Broadway Players in Glen Ellyn and with the Wheaton Drama group. She performed in a TV drama “Something Besides Tears” which was produced for WCFC in Chicago. It was aired in 1982 and again in 1983.

 

PETE GRAZIANO (Antosha) Pete is a graduate of NNHS and will be a freshman at Iowa State University in the fall. He appeared in “You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown,” “Wait Until Dark,” “God, A Play,” “Oliver,” “Guys and Dolls,” and “You Can’t Take It With You” at Naperville North. He played Bomber in “Picnic” this season at The Summer Place.

 

BEV HAJJAR (The mistress) has performed at The Summer Place in “Our Town.” She has also been seen in “Blithe Spirit,” “Othello,” “Death Takes a Holiday,” and “The Wizard of Oz” at other theaters. Bev teaches pre-school and is a director of children’s theater with the Wheaton Park District.

 

DON JACKLICH has directed “Thieves’ Carnival” at The Summer Place as well as appearing in “Brigadoon,” “The Sound of Music,” and “Showboat” here. He holds a master’s degree in theater from N.I.U. where his thesis was done on Anton Chekhov. Don was head of the theater departments at the College of Artesia in New Mexico, at Hinsdale Central High School, and at I.B.C. in Lisle. He lives in Lisle with his wife Sheila and their five children. Don is president of The Jacklich Corporation.

 

J.R. KELLER (Old Man) has appeared in “The Sound of Music,” “Showboat,” and “A Shot in the Dark” at The Summer Place. He has appeared with the Albright Theater, the Village Green and the I.B.C. theater departments.

 

DAVID KIRK (Navy Admiral) holds a degree in drama from the University of Missouri and is an office manager in Glen Ellyn. He has been seen on The Summer Place stage in “South Pacific,” “Enter Laughing,” “Showboat,” “Generation,” and “Love Rides the Rails.”

 

BOB LINDLEY (Policeman, Army general) appeared in last season’s “Charlie’s Aunt” at The Summer Place. He has been seen in “Summer and Smoke” and “The Happy Time” at the Riverfront Playhouse in Aurora. Other roles have included those in “The Man Who Came to Dinner,” “How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying,” and “Man of La Mancha.” Bob is a mechanical designer in Batavia.

 

LARRY LIPSKIE (The general; Kistunov, a banker) has appeared in “The Silver Whistle” and “Ah, Wilderness” with The Summer Place. He is a software engineer at Bell Labs in Naperville.

 

MARY ANN McINDOE (The wife, the actress) is making her debut at The Summer Place. She has recently moved from Grand Rapids, Michigan where she appeared in “Pippin,” “The Wizard of Oz,” and “Fiddler on the Roof.” Mary Ann will be a sophomore at Purdue this fall.

 

JO ANN RASMUSSEN (Old woman) is an elementary teacher at Bethany Lutheran School in Naperville where she lives with her two sons. Jo Ann has appeared in “Best of Friends,” “Diary of Anne Frank,” and “Silver Whistle” at The Summer Place. She has performed at Sharko’s in Lisle in “110 in the Shade.”

 

BILL ROBERTSON (The Sexton; the father) has performed in a wide variety of drama, comedy, and musicals at The Summer Place including “Diary of Anne Frank,” “The Odd Couple,” and “Damn Yankees.” One of his favorite roles was as Ben Franklin in “1776.” Bill has also done work for I.B.C. and Village Green theaters.

 

BOB SIMONS (Kuryatin, Sailor, Pochatkin) was last seen as Renfield in “Dracula” last season at The Summer Place. He is a 1982 graduate of NNHS and appeared there in “You Can’t Take it With You,” “Barefoot in the Park,” “Guys and Dolls,” “Adaptation,” “Murder on Center Stage,” “The Sound of Music,” and “The Music Man.”

 

TED WALTMIRE (Cherdyakov, Musical Director) has appeared in The Summer Place productions of “God’s Favorite,” “Damn Yankees,” “Guys and Dolls,” and “The Most Happy Fella.” Last season he provided the music for “Ah, Wilderness.” He has also directed the musicals “110 in the Shade,” and “Charlie Brown.” Ted lives in Downers Grove and is an aspiring songwriter employed by The Jacklich Corporation.

 

One of the persons most responsible for the success and growth of this community theatre was Don Jamison. In 1980 The Summer Place Board of Directors dedicated the pavilion in memory of Jamison and the many years he spent working to present quality theatre in Naperville.
