Guys and Dolls Opens June 19 at Summer Place Theatre

Summer Place Theatre will open its 60th season with *Guys and Dolls*, running June 19–28 at Naperville Central High School.

One of Broadway’s most beloved musical comedies, *Guys and Dolls* invites audiences into the colorful world of Runyonland, where gamblers, nightclub performers, and mission workers collide in a story filled with romance, laughter, unforgettable characters, and classic songs.

The score includes favorites such as “Luck Be a Lady,” “Sit Down, You’re Rockin’ the Boat,” “I’ve Never Been in Love Before,” and “Adelaide’s Lament.”

Director and Choreographer Julia Cooke describes the production as an opportunity for audiences to “leave your troubles at the door” and escape into a world of nostalgia, humor, love, and laughter.

“In SPT’s production, we are taking you into an underground craps game, immersing the audience in Runyonland,” Cooke wrote in her director’s note. “So please, leave your troubles at the door, and get invested. Laugh out loud. Feel heartbreak and relief. Share a smile with one of the characters. Experience a happy ending.”
