My Three Angels Spotlight

Dan is thrilled to be making his Summer Place debut in M3A. Recent roles include Mr. Webb in Our Town at Fox Country Players, Wilson in Harvey at the Gallery Theater, and Hunter in Of Good Stock at the Albright. When not on stage, Dan works at a search engine marketing agency and of course sends his love to his OGS crew.

Dan plays Alfred, the tough young convict among our three angels. We asked him a few questions about his background and his thoughts on this show.

Q:  Who or what inspired you to start doing theater?

A: I was at a friend's Birthday party in 2nd grade and her mom asked if I wanted to play Tiny Tim. I took several years off around college and slightly after before getting back into it.

Q: What was the first play you remember seeing?

A:  I don't remember seeing anything prior to my first role as Tiny Tim in 1998, but I vaguely remember seeing the Velveteen Rabbit at the Paramount around that same time.

Q:  What is the favorite role you've ever played?

A:  I very recently played Wilson in Harvey at the Gallery Theater.

Q:  What is the dream role you still want to play?

A:   I don't have a dream role per se, but I really want to start doing improv and possible join a troupe.

Q:  Most challenging part of bringing this story to life?

A:  Just balancing that level of being a scumbag and a loveable charming murderer.

Q:   Do you have any performance superstitions?

A:  I brush my teeth before every show which is a superstition I picked up very recently. I feel I am better on stage with a clean mouth.

Q:   If someone was going to make your life into a movie, who would you want to play you?

A:   I'd play myself.

Q:   What do you do when you’re not doing theater?

A:  I work at a search engine marketing agency. I also love the Cubs and going to beer festivals.

Q:   Which character from M3A would most like to have dinner with and why?

A:  Probably Felix because he's kind of a hippy and his family probably makes great food.

Q:  Why should people come see this production of M3A?

A:  Because it's a very well done show with a good message and extremely funny.
