The Ghost Storytelling Workshop Is Back!
Summer Place Theatre is thrilled to be able to offer our Ghost Storytelling Workshop again this year! Put it on your calendar now for Saturday, August 14.
During this two-hour workshop, you will learn story preparation, as well as proper speaking, breathing, and gesturing tips, and specific microphone techniques. Then practice what you've learned by telling a story in front of your classmates.
Everyone who "graduates" from the workshop will also be considered for the cast of our October event with the Naperville Park District, Ghost Stories in the Park...In the Dark!
No preparation is required, but you'll get more from the class if you choose a short story you want to share beforehand. You don't have to memorize the whole thing -- just be familiar with it -- and maybe bring a copy with you. We'll have some ghostly short story books available in the room for you to use as well.
This event is free, but we are limiting it to 15 attendees, aged 16 and up. To reserve your place, just email ghoststories@summerplacetheatre.org.
Join the fun on Saturday, August 14, from 1:00p until 3:00p. We'll meet in Room 206 at the Alfred Rubin Riverwalk Community Center, 305 Jackson Avenue in Naperville.
