BIOGRAPHIES

Chris Bruzzini (Director) Chris directed "A Thousand Clowns" for The Summer Place two years ago. He will appear in and direct "A Walk In The Woods" for Morton College this September.

Edward J. Green (Stage Manager) Ed last appeared at The Summer Place as Albert Amundsen in "A Thousand Clowns". He learned so much from Chris in that show, that he jumped at the chance to work with him again (and sprained his ankle). Ed lives in Aurora, with his lovely wife, June (who is tending to his ankle), and his 1-year old son Eddie (who is tending to everything else).

Ronald Brix (Mr. Farrel) Ron's prior appearance at The Summer Place was in "Kismet". He has also appeared in "Enter Laughing" for the West Allis Players in Wisconsin and "The Desk Set" for the Valley View Theatre Guild.

Nancy Chase (Eliza Gant) From dramaturg to director in Florida, Maryland & Illinois, Nancy is currently a partner in Playmakers Too children’s theatre. Her favorite roles have been Lady Torrence in "Orpheus Descending" and the Woman in "Veronica’s Room".

Dorothy Crosse (Mrs. Snowden) Dorothy only recently returned to the theatre in the role of an old crone in the Tempo Players production of "The Miracle Worker". She is married and the mother of two children.

David Frogge (Hugh Barton) David, 23, is a recent graduate of North Central College, where he performed such roles as Nathan Detroit in "Guys & Dolls", Fredrick in "Noises Off" and Sheridan Whiteside in "The Man Who Came To Dinner". This is David’s first show with The Summer Place.

Darrel L. Fulton (Dr. Maguire) Darrel has been very active in local theatre, having appeared in a number of productions, including "Sugar", "The Foreigner", "Into The Woods", "The Grapes Of Wrath", "Brighton Beach Memoirs" and "Broadway Bound". He was most recently seen in "The Grass Harp".

Janet Gilliland (Madame Elizabeth) Janet has worked on stage and behind the scenes for various theatres in the Chicago metropolitan area. She is a freelance writer and is presently writing a script about the history of DuPage County.

Ron Grant (Jake Clatt) A graduate of Second City, has just finished the season as one of Bugsy Malone’s thugs on the television series "The Untouchables". He was seen on the stage as the sheriff in "The Grapes Of Wrath" for the Village Players. Ron is presently doing voice-overs for radio and TV.

Sharon Kolarik (Marie "Fatty" Pert) Sharon lives in Bolingbrook with her husband and 4 children. She has been performing in community theatre for the last 4 years. Sharon’s favorite role was that of Big mama in the Riverfront Playhouse production of "Cat On A Hot Tin Roof". She is very pleased to be a part of one of this year’s Summer Place productions.

Larry Lipskie (W. O. Gant) Larry’s most recent Summer Place appearances include "Big River", "My Fair Lady" and "Born Yesterday". He is a computer software engineer with AT&T Bell Laboratories and thinks that this is as close to a romantic lead as he’ll ever get.

George Marino (Tarkinton) George is a mathematics teacher. He has played Henry in "The Fantastiks" and has appeared at The Summer Place in "Inherit The Wind" and "Big River".

Julie Orozco (Laura James) Julie is making her debut at The Summer Place, but you may have seen her recently as Geraldine in the Village Players production of "What The Butler Saw" or as Virginia in the Village Theatre Guild’s production of "Rainbow Bar & Grille". Julie wishes to thank her friends and family for their support.

Andrew Robinson (Luke Gant) This is Andy’s second time on the Summer Place stage, he first appeared as Murray Burns in "A Thousand Clowns". He has been involved in community theatres, such as Elgin, Bartlett and Villa Park in "The Music Man", "Barefoot In The Park", "Lovers And Other Strangers" and "The One That Gets Ya".

Kimberly Schneider (Florry Mangle) Kim has been involved in the theatre as a dancer and in the chorus of a number of productions since 1980. The musicals she’s performed in include "Mame", "The Wiz", "My Fair Lady", Brigadoon", as Jean and "God’s Favorite" as Sara. Kim lives in Naperville with her husband.

Anita Smolik (Mrs. Clatt) Anita has appeared at Summer Place in the chorus of "Kismet" in 1990 and as Mrs. Eynsford-Hill in "My Fair Lady" in 1991.

Luke Tillbury (Eugene Gant) Luke will be a junior this fall at Naperville North High School. Although he is active in theatre this will be his first Summer Place production.

Fran Wallace (Helen Gant Barton) Fran has returned to her true love — the theatre — with her role in this production. She performed two years ago as The Movie Star in "The Little Sister" in Romeoville. Fran lives in Lisle with her husband and two dogs.

John Westby (Ben Gant) John is appearing for the first time with The Summer Place as Be Gant. His past roles have included Bernalde in "The Imaginary Invalid", Froggy in "The Foreigner" and G.P. Conroy in "Pizzazz".

Martha Yoksoulian (Miss Brown) Martha, a resident of Downers Grove, has recently received her bachelors degree in Speech Communications/Theatre Arts from Eastern Michigan University. This is Martha’s first appearance with The Summer Place.

Ed Young (Will Pentland) Ed first appeared with The Summer Place in "Mary, Mary", followed by "Inherit The Wind". Other shows he has done include "Love, Sex And The IRS", "The Odd Couple", and "All My Sons". He’s done a MacDonalds industrial film and print ads for several national magazines.
