Biographies

Frank Church (Conductor), a retired school teacher from Geneva, has been seen at Summer Place in Showboat, Guys and Dolls and The Fantastiks. Frank has been active in local community theatre for 30 years.

Larry Lipskie (Salesman #1) has appeared in several Summer Place productions, most recently as W.O. Gant in last season's Look Homeward Angel.

Ron Plech (Salesman #2) has performed in varied types of bands and has done some church musicals. "I've always loved The Music Man and I'm happy to be a part of it."

Greg Dvorak (Salesman #3) is happy to make his first Summer Place appearance. He is a junior and has been active in theatre with Glenbard South and Wheaton Park District.

Matt Budny (Salesman #4) is in The Music Man for the second time. He has recently been seen at Waubansie Valley H.S. in South Pacific, Oklahoma and many other shows.

Gary La Faver (Salesman #5) is appearing with us for the first time. He is a marketing director at AT&T Network Systems. Gary has performed with the Naperville Chorus for the last 2 years.

Steve Wiesbrook (Salesman #6) was last seen in Jesus Christ Superstar earlier this summer. He has also appeared in S.P.'s Kismet, Hello Dolly, Brigadoon and Godspell. Steve is a science teacher at Naperville Central.

Francis Moses Valach (Harold Hill) was most recently seen as Jesus Christ in Jesus Christ Superstar. Other acting credits include the Pirate King in Pirates in Penzance, Claude in Hair and Judas in Godspell.

Mike Choate (Charlie Cowell) is making his S.P. debut. Luther Bilis and Nathan Detroit are two of his favorite roles. Mike would like to thank his wife for her patience, and send a "break a leg" to daughter Amy.

Jerry Juzwiak (Mayor Shinn) has been in twelve S.P. shows, which includes The Drunkard in 1967, our premier season, and in our very first musical, The Music Man, in 1969, in which he played Marcellus.

Shannon Juzwiak (Alma Squires) directs and choreographs teenagers in the Wheaton area. Her favorite roles include Sister Mary Amnesia in Nunsense and Crystal in Little Shop of Horrors.

Ann Donia (Ethel Toffelmeyer) is thrilled to be back in community theatre, this time with her children! Special thanks to husband, Jim, for allowing his entire family to go to River City for the summer.

Jason Mikelson (Jacey Squires) is making his debut as a barbershopper, with the double pleasure of performing with his father. He has also appeared as Charlie in Brigadoon.

Sal Seno (Marcellus) is pleased to make his Summer Place debut. He recently portrayed Judas in Godspell and appeared in the Cabaret ensemble, both with Grove Players.

Dave Mikelson (Ewart Dunlop) has had a short acting career, but has performed in Summer Place's Inherit the Wind. Dave has had an extensive singing career and presently sings with the Naperville Men's Glee Club.

Maria Fico (Marian Paroo) is making her debut with the Summer Place as Marian the Librarian. Some of her other works include Fiona in Brigadoon and Mable in Pirates of Penzance.

Priscilla Stevens (Mrs. Paroo) has a B.A. in vocal performance. She has studied at John Brown American Conservatory of Music in Chicago and Mozarteum in Salzberg, Austria. Priscilla works at Wheaton College.

Lindy Donia (Amaryllis), age 12, has appeared in Bye Bye Birdie, as Kate in Annie and Brigitta in Sound of Music. Lindy plays violin with the Vivaldi Strings performing group from Wheaton College.

Adam Webb (Winthrop), age 11, has been acting since he was 6. He has had roles in Alice in Wonderland, Hansel & Gretel and Puss 'N Boots. His favorite role was Michael in Peter Pan. He got to fly!

Marvin Mauer (Oliver Hicks) is a veteran barbershop singer in his 34th year with the Aurora Lamplighters Chorus. Marvin is also a charter member of the Naperville Men's Glee Club.

Fred Roberts (Olin Britt) is a financial consultant with Smith Barney. He is a keyboardist/songwriter whose compositions have been performed by the Naperville Men's Glee Club, where he serves as President.

Matt Fritz (Tommy Djilas) is happy to be performing as Tommy. He has previously been in eight high school plays including the role of Harold Hill. Matt will attend North Central in the fall.

Cynthia Lauren-Grant (Eulalie Shinn) (See her son, Corin Grant's Bio)

Eirian Morgan (Zaneeta) has appeared in two previous Summer Place productions; West Side Story and Alice in Wonderland. Eirian is a sophomore and a cheerleader at Naperville North.

Allison Sohn (Gracie) is a senior at Naperville Central and is vice-president of its drama club, Theatre Central. She plans to pursue acting professionally after college.

Carol Christianson (Maude) has performed in concert choir, South Pacific and Gotta Sing, Gotta Dance. She has also studied voice at C.O.D. and is active in hair design & makeup for numerous beauty pageants.

Susan Lupole (Mrs. Dunlop) of Lisle has appeared in S.P.'s Kismet. She works as a customer service representative at Business Card Express in Downers Grove and directs and accompanies music at Lisle Bible Church.

Al Hevey (Constable) is a veteran performer who has been seen recently in Born Yesterday, The Fantastiks, Our Town, Big River and Peter Pan. As Al says, "Someone has to play the old guys".

WA TAN YE GIRLS
Marleah Liddle is 11 years old and has been singing and dancing since age 3. She has had chorus roles in S.P.'s productions of Alice in Wonderland, Heidi and Peter Pan with the Naperville Park District.

Rita Marcec will be a junior at Naperville North. She loves singing and is in concert choir, as well as in a singing trio with two of her fellow singers.

Larissa Meier has previously enjoyed singing, dancing and acting in Hansel and Gretel and Heidi. She is very happy to be in the wonderful cast of The Music Man.

Michelle Morrison, age 11, is an award-winning acrobat for Palmer's School of Dance. She attends Wheaton Christian Grammar School where she plays flute in the band.

Cheryl Kujawinski, age 16, will be a junior at Glenbard South this fall. She started acting at the age of 7 and has had roles in Twilight Walk, Bleacher Bums, The Woman At Dead Oaks and Jack and the Beanstalk.

"PICKALITTLE" LADIES
Donna Gordon hails from Victoria, British Columbia and is a seasoned performer of over 20 musicals. Donna has sung professionally for 10 years with the showband Doc & the Doo-Wops.

Hope Liddle's previous community theatre experience has been in Buffalo, New York. She has played Gertie in Oklahoma and Lady Thiang in The King and I. She was last seen as the teacher and Fraulein Rottenmeir in Heidi.

Elizabeth Loberger will be a Barrington High School freshman this fall. Her acting credits include Oliver, with the Des Plaines Theater Guild and Once Upon a Mattress at BMS.

Pam Loberger is pleased to making her Summer Place debut. Her favorite roles include Dolly in Hello Dolly, Madame Arcati in Blythe Spirit and Catherine Dickens in Christmas Carol.

JoAnn Mikelson is happy to be appearing on stage with her family for the second time. Watching her husband and son perform together has been very special to her.

Pam Perillo is usually behind the curtain getting one of the Perillo children ready for their entrance on stage. This summer Pam is pleased to be sharing the stage in The Music Man with son Mickey.

Sally Reschke hasn't been on stage since high school and is thrilled to be getting back to it. It's great fun working with her two sons, Kyle and Kent.

Marty Schillerstrom is excited to be in a play for the first time. She has been a French teacher for 18 years at Glenbard East High School. Marty is married to husband, Dave, and has 3 children.

BOYS' BAND
John Althouse is an 8th grader who enjoys studying classical, contemporary and jazz piano and trumpet. He wants to thank Summer Place for this, his first acting experience.

Joe Binder is a student at Kennedy Junior High School. He enjoys reading, writing, baseball and other sports. This is his first Summer Place performance.

Adam Budny is appearing in his first Summer Place production. He has been in a play at school called Tied to the Tracks. He attends Hill Middle School.

Jennifer Rosenberg is a fifth grader at Patterson Elementary School. She has danced Nutcracker and Rodeo with Dance West Ballet. Jennifer is also a member of Young Naperville Singers and her congregation's choir.

YOUNG PEOPLE'S DANCE CHORUS
Amy Chote takes voice lessons and her most recent roles were the manicurist in Definitely Eric Geddies, Leisel in Sound of Music and a Polynesian dancer in South Pacific.

Nicole Engers lifetime love has been dancing. Some of her performances include roles in Bye Bye Birdie, Carousel, various Naperville Dance Theatre performances and Summer Place's production of West Side Story.

Jimmy Groh has been dancing for 11 years. Shows he has been in are The Music Man, The Wizard of Oz and Singing in the Rain.

Ryan McGrath is a sophomore at Benet Academy. He has most recently been seen in Cinderella as the Prince, Fiddler on the Roof as Sasha and has played both Danny and Kenickie in Grease.

Elizabeth Middleton will be attending Naperville Central this fall. She studies dance and voice. Other acting credits include roles in The Music Man and Hello Dolly.

Kimberly Piech, age 12, has been in the show Dancing Back to Broadway. This fall she will be attending Glenside Middle School.

Melissa Piech has been in Dancing Back to Broadway. She has been in many commercials and movies as an extra. Melissa attends Moves dance and performing arts school.

David Schild will be a sophomore at Naperville North High School. He enjoys performing with The Summer Place and Wheaton Warrenville Youngstars Theatre.

John Neill Ward is making his debut performance with The Summer Place. He has had roles in General Hospital, The New Lassie and many other television shows.
