Meet Katie Zarletti

Mamma Mia! Spotlight

Katie Zarletti, playing Ali and a member of the Ensemble, is excited to join Summer Place Theater for this overly fun musical! Previous credits include 9 to 5: The Musical and The Wizard of Oz (Big Noise Theater), Beauty and the Beast (Brightside Theater), Hairspray (Forte Productions), A Fairytale Adventure (HPP). Katie wants you to "have an Abba-solutely great time with our show!"

We asked Katie a few questions about herself.

Q: Who or what inspired you to start doing theater?

A: My family has always been musical. My mother’s love of theater and performing for our church inspired me to perform.

Q: What was the musical that had you fall in love with musicals?

A: Les Miserables.

Q: What is the favorite role you've ever played?

A: Ulla in The Producers. It was a really fun time!

Q: What is the dream role you still want to play?

A: Eponine in Les Mis or Belle in Beauty and the Beast.

Q: Most challenging part of bringing this story to life?

A: The most challenging part is learning Samantha’s (our director and choreographer) dance moves!

Q: If someone was going to make your life into a movie, who would you want to play you?

A: Jennifer Lawrence.

Q: What do you do when you’re not doing theater?

A: I like relaxing like an old lady: tea, crochet, reading, taking walks, etc.

Q: If you were stranded on an island, which character from Mamma Mia would you want to have with you and why?

A: Donna because girl was on a random island and built a taverna! I feel like I’d be solid if she were with me!

Q: Why should people come see this production of Mamma Mia?

A: This cast is working so hard to have the best time on stage and we want to share that party with you!!
