We asked Sean a few questions about himself.

Q: Who or what inspired you to start doing theater?

A: In 1997 (I'm so young, right?), our Kindergarten class performed an adaptation of The Lion King. After playing 'Zazu,' I immediately fell in love with performing arts and would go on to act in theatre productions throughout high school – I took a short break in college to focus on work and school. It wasn't until 2018 that I jumped back into the world of theatre, starting off with Natural Talent Production's The Hunchback of Notre Dame.

Q: What was the musical that had you fall in love with musicals?

A: Rodgers & Hammerstein's Oklahoma!

Q: What is the favorite role you've ever played?

A: Lt. Col. Markinson in A Few Good Men.

Q: What is the dream role you still want to play?

A: Aaron Burr from Hamilton.

Q: Most challenging part of bringing this story to life?

A: Finding ways to make smart character decisions that will influence the audience and hopefully bring them closer to the characters and the story.

Q: Do you have any performance superstitions?

A: NEVER, EVER say "good luck" before going on.

Q: If someone was going to make your life into a movie, who would you want to play you?

A: My favorite actor, Mahershala Ali.

Q: What do you do when you’re not doing theater?

A: Outside of my 9 to 5 day job, working in public affairs at a pharmaceutical company, I perform around the Chicago (and midwest area) rapping and singing under the moniker "Seany-Doo." I've been building a steady fanbase, doing shows and uploading/publishing my music since 2011. Check me out at www.SeanyDoo.com and follow me on Twitter, Instagram and SoundCloud @seanydoo.

Q: If you were stranded on an island, which character from Mamma Mia would you want to have with you and why?

A: Donna. Because her brutally honest character makes me laugh, so I know there will never be a dull moment on the island. Also, she knows how to make any situation work in her favor and since she's driven, she'll find a way to get us off said island.

Q: Why should people come see this production of Mamma Mia?

A: There will be kicks, flips, turns, and everything in between! I mean, look who's directing and choreographing this...need I say more? Adding on to that, there's so much raw talent and a strong bond (and trust) among the cast and crew – this alone is a key factor to any successful show.

Q: Have a favorite YouTube/Instagram/Vimeo video of you performing?

A: The video I'd like to share is from a music video I recently released for one of my singles "Believe It" from my upcoming album, "Other Side of Me 2." Hope you enjoy!
