Recently, he was the assistant director and the announcer for Blueprint Theatre's production of "Deadly Departed." This is John's first performance with The Summer Place. Cheryl Kujawinski (Miss Wells, the maid) Cheryl has been acting since the age of seven. Some of her acting credits include; Sister Rita in "The Runner Stumbles," Judy in "The Woman at Dead Oaks." She has also appeared in "The Music Man," "Bleacher Bums," "All My Sons" and "South Pacific" to name a few. Cheryl is on the Glenbard South Forensics team where she won a spot downstate in Dramatic Duet Acting. She is employed as a cashier/authorizer at Service Merchandise in Downers Grove. Linda Lee Metz (Lucy Seward) Linda is making her fourth appearance with The Summer Place. Previously, she portrayed Sandra in "A Thousand Clowns" and was in the chorus for "Big River" and "Jesus Christ Superstar." She has also performed for Grove Players, Theatre of Western Springs, Bensenville Theatre, Stage Company and acts in children's mysteries with The Mystery Shop. When she is not acting, Linda works as a sales representative for Finlay Fine Jewelry. Jon Nichols (R. M. Renfield) Some of Jon's acting credits include; Lionel Toop in "See How They Run," Maj. Metcalf in "Mousetrap," Jesse in "Plaza Suite," Ken de la Maze in "Musical Comedy Murders of 1940." The President in "Madwoman of Chaillot," Ike Skidmore in "Oklahoma" and Shep in "Early One Evening at Rainbow Bar & Grill." Jon is employed as a communication specialist for Breaking Free in Naperville. Robert Pold (Jonathan Harker) Rob's only other appearance for The Summer Place was as juror #8 (the one who votes not guilty) in "Twelve Angry Men" in 1993. His other recent acting credits have been with Grove Players and Theatre of Western Springs for whom he also designs and paints sets. Rob is a Realtor with Baird and Warner in Hinsdale. Tom Rieser (Dr. Seward) Tom has appeared in past Summer Place productions, most recently in "Twelve Angry Men." He also had the role of the sorcerer in The Magical Starlight Theatre's production of "The Sorcerer's Apprentice." Tom just completed the role of Max in the Theatre of Western Spring's production of "Lend Me a Tenor." Tom also writes and performs participatory mysteries with The Mystery Shop. He is employed in county government. Tom Ulbrich (Count Dracula) We have seen Tom on The Summer Place stage for the last two years having performed in "Noises Off" as Lloyd Dallas and as Caiaphas in last year's production of "Jesus Christ Superstar." Other acting credits include roles in "Catch 22", "Godspell" and "Cheaper By the Dozen." Tom has worked as a teacher and theatre instructor for Naperville Central High School for the past sixteen years. Graham J. Wills (Prof. Van Helsing) Graham has only recently moved to Naperville from Ireland where he has acted mainly in classical works such as Shakespeare & Moliere. He has also performed in some musicals and pantomimes. Since moving here in 1992, he has been in "Brigadoon," "The Dining Room" and a review. Graham works in software research and next year he will be directing "Kiss Me Kate" for Community Players. Lori McCarthy (Director) Lori McCarthy is a familiar name in the western suburbs. Her acting credits include; Rev. Mother in "Agnes of God," at Ad Hoc, Amanda in The Summer Place's production of "Glass Menagerie," Susan in the NCTV production of the "Alice Newman Show." She has also directed community and dinner theatre. Her last Summer Place direction project was "Arsenic and Old Lace." After a long absence, she is happy to be at home again directing within the friendly confines of The Summer Place. She feels "you can come home again--so there Thomas Wolfe!" Judy DiVita (Assistant Director and Stage Manager) Judy has been active with many Summer Place productions, such as; "Other People's Money," "West Side Story," "Ghost Stories in the Park...in the Dark," "The Nerd" and "Angel Street." Much of her time is spent producing and directing television shows at Naperville Community Television. Judy is employed at Elkay Manufacturing Company. Ken Frykholm (Technical Director & Set Designer) Ken has a M.F.A. from Northern Illinois University and works as a teacher of English, Art and Theatre at Lockport Twp. High School. This is Ken's 30th production with The Summer Place. He was the scenic designer for the 1995 Illinois High School Theatre Festival's production of "Fiddler on the Roof." His favorite on-stage memory was his 1990 wedding held on The Summer Place stage. Ken and his wife Mandy are the proud parents of six month old Autumn Ashley. Joe Pietrie (Sound & Light Design) Joe has worked with The Summer Place for the past seven seasons. Some of his technical highlights include, "The Music Man" at the Odeum, "Chess" for Marriot Lincolnshire and "Is There Life After High School?" for Tempo Players. Joe was assistant scenic designer for "Fiddler on the Roof" for the Illinois High School Theatre Festival.
