Profiles

Jon Nichols (Henry David Thoreau) — Jon works as a Communication Specialist for Breaking Free, an agency for drug prevention and treatment. Last seen in Summer Place’s Dracula, he aspires to be a film director, actor and writer. Jon has lived in Naperville for three years.

Terry O’Brien (John Thoreau) — After producing independent films in Milwaukee, Terry moved to Joliet where he has performed in God’s Favorite and Deadly Dead and directed The Time Machine and Murder in the Wings. Recently, he has performed in local dinner theater.

Lisa Baggott-Miller (Cynthia Thoreau) — Lisa played the Housekeeper in last summer’s production of Man of La Mancha. Favorite roles include Old Lady in Sunday in the Park with George and Rosabella in The Most Happy Fella with Tempo Players.

Edward J. Green (Ralph Waldo Emerson) — Ed’s appearance in The Night Thoreau Spent in Jail is his third production at Summer Place, which also happens to be the third production he has done with Chris Bruzzini. He previously appeared in A Thousand Clowns and was the stage manager for Look Homeward Angel.

Terry L. LaFin (Lydian Emerson) — Terry is a Summa Cum Laude music graduate of I.S.U. Her professional experience includes TV and radio commercials, lead roles in musicals, operas and plays.

Kurtis Hankin (Edward Emerson/Philip Wright) — Eight year old Kurtis made his acting debut in The Wizard of Oz. He is a member of Young Naperville Singers Choir. He enjoys acting, modeling and all sports.

Christian Missonak (Edward Emerson/Philip Wright) — Christian, age eight, lives in Wheaton and is in the third grade at Madison School. He enjoys acting, drawing, and soccer. Credits include: Pinocchio in Pinocchio, The Wizard of Oz, and A Christmas Carol.

Dan DeCraene (Bailey) — Since appearing as Noah Joad at Oak Park, Dan has worked numerous productions, from appearing as Dogberry in Much Ado... to tech directing at Triton College. Dan’s next role is “Daddy,” as he and his wife, Mary Kate, are expecting their first child this summer.

Lawrence Fattore (Nehemiah Ball) — Lawrence is pleased to be making his debut performance with the Summer Place. His previous roles include Lord Godalming in The Passion of Dracula, Dr. Boyle in Prelude to a Kiss, Theseus in A Midsummer Night’s Dream, and Sir Andrew Aguecheek in Twelfth Night.

Tracey Darfler (Ellen Sewell) — Tracey is new to Naperville. Her previous roles include Jill in Babes in Toyland, Gilmer in Godspell, Murder Mystery Parodies - The Night Before Christmas with Aunt Mildred, Aunt Mildred and Market Daze, Jane.

Gary Kujawinski (Sam Staples) — Gary has performed last for The Summer Place as Juror 12 in 12 Angry Men and as the infamous Ratboy in The Sorcerer’s Apprentice for the Magical Starlight Theatre. Acting in the same show with his wife Jo Ann will be his biggest theatrical thrill.

Jo Ann Kujawinski (Gladys Duncan) — Jo Ann is the Managing Director for Summer Place Inc. and will be directing I Hate Hamlet this July. Jo Ann is employed by the City of Wheaton, the mother of four children and is proud to be sharing the stage with her husband Gary.

Vicki Milano (Betsey Parkman) — Vicki is fresh out of The Velveteen Rabbit at Valley View Theatre Guild playing the role of Nana. She has appeared in musicals and dramas in Buffalo, New York.

Kay Oliver (Joan Wright) — Having last served Summer Place as Man of La Mancha’s assistant director and stage manager, Kay makes her stage debut as Joan Wright.

Chris Bruzzini (Director) — Chris has directed A Thousand Clowns and Look Homeward Angel for The Summer Place. He has performed at Chicago’s Griffin and Raven Theatres.

Timothy Ray (Stage Manager/Assistant Director) — Tim most recently portrayed Baby John in Summer Place’s West Side Story. You may also remember him from his acting debut in 1991 as Nick in A Thousand Clowns, directed by Chris Bruzzini. He is currently on the Publicity Committee for the Summer Place.

Joe Pietrie (Technical Director/Set, Sound, and Light Designer) — This is Joe’s ninth season with Summer Place. Joe is the Auditorium Manager for NCHS and helps produce at least 14 productions each year. Joe owes a special thank you to his wife, Sue and two year old daughter Beverly for being there when he finally does get home.
